DDA Alliance Cameroon - Yaounde

Don’t Do it Alone-Alliance (DDA) established in 2010, is a non-profit branch of ASPROMOD a Civil Society Organization working for the promotion of the rights of women and youths. DDA-Alliance is a group of volunteer Consultants in the domain of: i) Good Governance; ii) Agriculture and Development; iii) Democratic Citizenship,iv)Election Observation with gadgets, v)Peace building and Conflicts,vi)Human Rights abuses,vii) Entrepreneurship and viii)Health problems in Cameroon and beyond.


LEGAL STATUS:
ASPROMOD is affiliated in Cameroon under the Non Governmental Organizations Registration Statute of 1990. Affiliation Reference Number: 22/RDA/H.52/BAPP of March 12 2007.

MISSION:
At DDA, we make things happen.
This means researching to solve and develop intelligent and appropriate solutions that meet and even exceed populations’ needs and expectations.

We go the extra mile to constantly and thoroughly investigate, research and study problems. Often, this leads us to challenge societal problems when offering our focused range of approach.

FOCUS:
Skills and Information sharing among members and partners in private and public sectors for good governance.
OBJECTIVES:

In a synergy of actions among its members, the DDA-Alliance aims at Working, Assessing and investigating on:

• Key problems of the society, including: good governance, accountability and transparency;
• Agriculture developments by designing and applying methods that can be used to fight against;
• Child mortality in rural and urban areas;
• Moral values, social ethics and social discrimination;
• Rural exodus;
• Voter apathy and democracy;
• Human rights problems in Cameroon;

THEMATIC AREAS:

• Agricultural Research: To develop a process for agricultural research priority setting in Cameroon at the national level.

• Research in Good Governance: To offer expertise services, investigate and carryout studies in the domain of Governance in Cameroon and beyond.
• Research in Democratic Citizenship: To carryout research activities on democratic norms, citizenship and the electoral circle in Cameroon and beyond .
• Research in Peace building and Conflicts: To investigate and deepen research on conflict-affecting local communities and countries.

• Research in Human Rights abuses: To carryout studies and investigate on various human rights abuses around the world.
The core Focus Areas: Public and private sectors amongst rural and urban populations.

• Research in Entreprenneurship: To offer expertise services, investigate and carryout studies in the domain of youth entreprenneurship in Cameroon.

• Research in Health problems:
This thematic is to carrying out infant mortality and HIV/AIDS research in rural and urban areas and to identify factors that contribute to current maternal care seeking behaviors, with a focus on childbirth and the early postpartum period, and determine amenability of these behaviors to change;

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
• The General Assembly is the supreme policy making body of the organization.
• The Board of Directors is the policy formulation and supervisory unit of the organization.
• The secretariat is the technical and implementation arm of the organization.

MEMBERSHIP:
Membership of DDA-Alliance Cameroon is open to all Cameroon Researchers and Experts that subscribe to its constitution and objectives. A Researcher can be an expert in any of the above mentioned thematic.
