- GRACE CHARITABLE AND REHABILITATION ORGANIZATION (GRACARO) is founded to advocate for the rights of the vulnerable people, promote programs aimed at addressing the social, economic, health, education and moral challenges of the society especially of the less privileged and vulnerable persons in our communities; help delinquent youths correct their offending behavior and rehabilitate them through moral education, spiritual values and skills that will enable them to be morally upright and self- reliant, and better prepared to make meaningful contributions to the progress of society.

3: Aim, Our Mission, Our Vision and Objectives.
1. Aim:
The main aim of GRACARO is to protect, promote and advocate for the rights of the vulnerable persons, (orphans, widows, disabled, abandoned children, elderly persons, single mothers, single parent children, Displaced Persons, victims of crisis, etc.) and contribute to social justice by improving upon the livelihood of the less privileged and other vulnerable persons especially in rural communities and subsequently restore them to the society to live in dignity.
2. Our Mission
To improve the living standards of vulnerable persons and communities, promote and advocate for their rights, especially the right to education, and provide material, financial and spiritual assistance to marginalized and disadvantaged people and communities.
3. Our Vision
We envisage an equal and just society for all, where everyone is adequately empowered to live a self-reliant and dignified life.
4. Our Principles
GRACARO is guided by and upholds the core Humanitarian Principles of Humanity First, Impartiality in Action, Neutrality and Independence.
ARTICLE 4: Our Main Areas of Intervention
i. Promoting Access to Quality Education (SDG 4).
- GRACARO seeks to support the efforts of the government and education partners in enhancing the development of moral, civic and intellectual competences of children.
- Collaborate with education stakeholders to ensure that every child has access to quality education which is a fundamental right of every child.
- Carry out activities to reduce illiteracy among young persons and the youths, through the use of inclusive approaches.
- Complement the work of the government, national and international agencies in providing the required tools for effective teaching and learning in young children and youths, with particular attention to vulnerable children.
- Serving as a voice for communities where access to education remains a challenge.
ii. Advocating, Protecting and Promoting the Rights of Socially Vulnerable Persons (People Living with Disabilities, the Elderly, Orphans, IDPs etc.) (SDG 10).
- Develop programs for the assistance of socially vulnerable persons and promote gender equality, human rights and education for women and girls,
- Advocate and create awareness on the international and national legal instruments for the protection and promotion of the rights of people living with disabilities.
- Take actions to eliminate stigma and discrimination against persons with disabilities and carry out activities that favour the empowerment of people living with disabilities, and fight violence against women.
- Campaign, in line with our programs to promote access to education, for inclusive education and economic empowerment of persons living with disabilities, especially women and girls, and integrating them into development processes.
- Take actions to combat and eradicate cases of child marriages, gender-based violence and female genital mutilation.
iii. Promoting and Improving Access to Healthcare for Socially Vulnerable Persons. (SDG 3).
- Promote access to quality healthcare for vulnerable persons in the areas of health promotion and strengthening of health systems.
- Enhance the strengthening of health systems through the provision of basic health equipment.
- Provide education and materials to women and girls to improve access to Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and promote awareness on Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
- Create awareness in epidemics and pandemics and promote access to water, hygiene and sanitation (WASH) and other health-related issues in communities.
- Complement the efforts of health stakeholders in promoting access to health for vulnerable persons including rehabilitation for people living with disabilities, Nutrition, mother and child health among others.
iv. Promoting Social Justice, Youth Socio-Economic Empowerment and Civic Education. (SDG 8 & 16).
- Carrying out activities and programs to combat uncivil behaviour and eliminating violent extremism among young people.
- Improve social insertion and increase civic participation of youths in development.
- Providing vocational and economic empowerment opportunities for youths with focus on out-of-school youths, drop-outs, ex-convicts, non-graduants etc., through agriculture, livestock farming, skill development programs etc.
- Create awareness on combating hate speech, social media bullying, drug abuse and disinformation among young persons.
- Carry out campaigns and activities to promote youth contribution to peace, living together, democracy and development activities.
v. Empowering, Promoting and Protecting the Rights of Women, the Girl Child and the Family. (SDG 5).
- Carry out activities to eliminate discrimination against women and girls and promote the economic and social advancement of women.
- Campaign on gender equality as a requirement for attaining peace, social justice and sustainable development.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on programs to strengthen the development and protection of the rights of children and the family.
- Advocacy to fight all forms of violence against women and other harmful socio- cultural practices against women (like rights to access to land and resources).
- Mainstream all GRACARO activities to include women, the girl child and the family.
vi. Promoting Peace, Security and Social Justice, Fostering Citizenship and Governance, Fighting Climate Change and Environmental Protection, Agriculture and Food Security, Combating Human Rights Violations and Conflict Prevention, Eliminating Extreme Poverty and Promoting Sustainable Development in Africa.

My discussion with some members recently made me to understand that many of don’t know how to summarily present the vision of GRACARO to people. The vision of this organization is broad and needs a care full study to be able to sale it to wellwishers. Our plan of action for 2023 which will be made available in the days ahead can only be realize if we are able to sale this vision. Understanding this vision and individually taking responsibilities by all members is the number strategy for fundraising for the realization of our 2023 plan activities. Below are some of the words you can use to briefly introduce GRACARO to your audience;
